JaVA's Stance On Doping in Sports

JaVA unequivocally supports all local and international initiatives that are against doping in sports. We require and expect that all local volleyball athletes, whether at school, college, club or national levels, will abide by the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission (JADCO) and World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Regulations.

As an affiliate of FIVB, JaVA endorses the FIVB Play Clean campaign and encourages that all volleyball players familiarize themselves with the content of the modules.  The programme is organized into nine (9) short modules that expose subscribers to pertinent knowledge about doping in sports and how to avoid being in breech of the regulations.  At the end of each module there is a brief test and upon successful completion the individual is presented with a certificate.

By 2016, JaVA will require that all National and Club (16 years and older) players present their Real Winner Certificates as proof of having completed the Play Clean programme. For ease of access, the FIVB Play Clean lessons is hyperlinked to this page through the tab at the top of this page.
